Well I have officially been a graduate student for 9 months, and I will be graduating in about 10 months. Halfway-ish?
Work/school/puppy/travel/every-friend-I-have-is-getting-married keeps me away from this blog, which I hate, but I will one day be back. Here is a little image to keep you on hold until I have time to write an actual post.

I am North Carolina bound tomorrow, and I could not be more ready for a little R&R with my main squeeze. We have a sushi date planned for tomorrow night, then we are driving up to Morgantown, WV to meet up with friends for the Texas football game.
We have been told that the Mountaineer fans are not the most friendly, so we will NOT be donning burnt orange all weekend, but don’t get me wrong, I am going to wear a burnt orange scarf that I can shove in my purse.

However, I really hope they sing Country Roads, because I will definitely join in.
Also, I told T I was going to wear jeans a scarf to the game and he replied “Don’t you think you should wear a shirt?” My word. Men…
I’m so effing busy, and I feel like I have to keep apologizing for my absence on my own blog, so I am not going to. It’s my damn blog. I am however going to tell you how CRAZY life has been the past couple of months, to justify my moodiness.
I am right in the middle of my first full semester of grad school. Working 40 hours a week, taking 3 classes, keeping my puppy alive, picking up some gigs (wedding assisting) on the weekends, trying to enjoy the nuptials of ALL my friends getting married, and planning when I can see T next.
Which gets me to my next point.
In two weeks I will be flying to North Carolina to road-trip with T up to Morgantown, WV for the Texas/WV game. We are going to swing through DC to pick up a friend, and make a weekend out of it. I am really excited to spend some time with friends and take a few days off of work.
On a more serious note. Almost all of my christmas shopping is done. LUCKY YOU (friends and family) I actually budgeted time and money to get you something this holiday season. You can send my gifts to the University of Texas campus, because that is where I spend 80% of my week.
OH YEAH. I created a Pinterest Christmas Wish List board. ENJOY.
Until next time, here is a MAJOR update. Get it. My dog’s name is Major. He is now 6 mo. old and 40 lbs. Hopefully we will not reach the projected 80-90 lb. mark. I already miss his extra wrinkly skin. He is still pretty cute though. Check it out.

So my last post was about how busy the summer had been. My previous post is about to be trumped.
T had an interview on Tuesday, and was offered the job on the spot. Awesome, right?! Kind of. He will be moving to North Carolina in less than two weeks. BUMMED girlfriend over here.
Which means, I have just become a single mother. (to our 4 mo. old puppy)
I start my second semester of grad school in 5 days. Did I mention I will be going to school full time (9 hours) and working full time (40 hours). WHAT WAS I THINKING?
On top of that we (now I) have season tickets to Longhorn football, weddings and showers to attend, three races this fall, and other things planned, such as tickets to see the Book of Mormon. I am really going to miss T being so close.
I’m hoping that school, work and volunteering will keep me busy enough for the next 21 months that I won’t even notice he is gone. YEAH, RIGHT!
Sorry for the long sad post, I am just struggling a bit right now, and writing it out feels kind of nice.

I moved. (bed is built)
I got a puppy. (boyfriend and I rescued this little guy, Major.)
I started grad school. (and got an A!)

Right now, I’m on the hunt for lamp shades, euro pillow covers, and drape fabric. Suggestions welcomed!
This past weekend I ran through my local Home Goods to find the perfect side tables. It was a HALF-success. I found ONE perfect side table. I just needed a mate. After driving ALL over Austin to the other Home Goods, I was feeling pretty low. I posted on FB and BOOM social media did it again. A friend recommended a couple of stores in San Antonio and T found it right after work yesterday. I now have the perfect pair of side tables for my new bed.

Every year Nordstrom does this to me. They have this amazing anniversary sale where so many thing I want for next season go on super sale, AND it’s always two months from my birthday. So every year I make a wishlist and send it to my friends/family/suckers-who-buy-me-gifts, and I cross my fingers/PRAY to the Nordy gods that I will get the stuff I so dearly NEED in my fall/winter wardrobe.
One more thing to mention before I give you a peak at what is on my wish list, this stuff is not really “next seasons” for those of us in Texas. It’s more like hide-in-the-closet-for-6-months-until-we-get-2-days-below-50-degrees type of clothes. BUT totally worth it. I mean it’s on sale…
So I went ahead and purchased this for myself. I’ve been needing a good tube/cami for some of my sheer stuff. Can’t beat the price, and I love that it is longer than the typical bandeau. (straps are removable and it comes in several great colors)

PS. Today is day 6 of the 30 day ab challenge. BLAH. It is getting a little easier to do the exercises, but boy-oh-boy do my abdominals hurt. WORTH. IT. (I hope)
So I was about 45 minutes into celebrating my new bed purchase when I realized I have to buy all new bedding. Cha-ching. Ouch.
I have been watching my favorite sites (Rue La La, Joss & Main, One Kings Lane, etc.) and I found these babies! They are on their way to my pretty little hands. I’m going with a white coverlet and 3 white matching euro pillows. Haven’t found that yet.

So after trying this blog thing out for almost two years now, my favorite thing to post about is… myself. Shallow I know, but it is what I know best. I’m hoping, moving forward, that you can be inspired by the things I’m doing, the stuff I’m buying, the trends I’m trying, etc.
This isn’t a fashion blog, because I’m just not that fashionable. This isn’t a food blog, because I can’t cook. HA. This isn’t a family or parenting blog, because I have no kids. This is simply a Britney blog.
In my last post I showed you the bed I bought. Still swooning, and probably will be long after it is delivered. So, in the next couple of weeks I will be picking up some stuff to go with my big ‘ol bed I bought.

I have also started working out again. BLAH. Class was a nice distraction for 5 weeks, but I’m back on the wagon. I’m going to give this 30 day abs a try. We will see how long that lasts. Day one was easy. That’s about all.
I’m always open for workout suggestions. Right now I’m doing 4-5 days a week of cardio. Body Combat Monday (similar to kickboxing), Pilates Tuesday, Zumba Wednesday, and then two days of interval running after that. Adding on the 30-day ab challenge. Should be looking DAYUM good by Christmas, ya hear me?!
