Trumped
So my last post was about how busy the summer had been. My previous post is about to be trumped.
T had an interview on Tuesday, and was offered the job on the spot. Awesome, right?! Kind of. He will be moving to North Carolina in less than two weeks. BUMMED girlfriend over here.
Which means, I have just become a single mother. (to our 4 mo. old puppy)
I start my second semester of grad school in 5 days. Did I mention I will be going to school full time (9 hours) and working full time (40 hours). WHAT WAS I THINKING?
On top of that we (now I) have season tickets to Longhorn football, weddings and showers to attend, three races this fall, and other things planned. I am really going to miss T being so close.
I’m hoping that school, work and volunteering will keep me busy enough for the next 21 months that I won’t even notice he is gone. YEAH, RIGHT!
Sorry for the long sad post, I am just struggling a bit right now, and writing it out feels kind of nice.

This week has seriously dragged on. Dragged. Is that the right word there? Maybe it’s drug. Oh well, it’s Friday!
Today after a busy day of meetings, I am headed to San Antonio to celebrate 3 years with Big T. We are starting with a Spurs (his home team) vs. Rockets (my home team) game tonight, and then spending some time with his family. Tomorrow we will HOPEFULLY sleep in a little and then grab lunch at our favorite Boerne lunch spot, Bumdoodlers. Don’t let the name deter you. Bums, to the locals, is friggin’ awesome!
Trav always tries to surprise me, but I don’t really do “suspense”, so he let me guess where we are going for dinner. After 5 guesses, he gave me a hint: “The first surprise you ever ruined”. Hudson’s on the Bend in Austin! It is where we spent our first Valentines together. Needless to say I think the weekend calls for some spandex pants.

Not always too serious. The left was a halloween where I was a party animal and T was a doctor. He also looks pretty nice in scrubs… The right was after I got my “boy haircut” (words of Travis). By boy, he must have meant Hanson brother.
Sorry this post ended up so personal, but this guy makes me pretty happy. I was just going to document our plans for the weekend. Oops!
